Volunteer Tutors Needed
Cultural Linguistic Services, within the Office of Talent Management, is in need of tutors to help UW-Madison employees develop their learning in areas such as: English language, literacy (English and Spanish), writing, math, and other subjects. Benefits 101

Benefits 101 is a valuable three hour presentation crafted for employees who are newly eligible for insurance benefits under the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) via employment at the UW-Madison. Benefits 101 covers the WRS, State Group Health Insurance, Supplemental plans such as dental and vision, Income Continuation Insurance, Life insurance options and provides an overview of the 403b and 457b retirement programs available to UW-Madison employees. Many benefits have a 30-day enrollment deadline, so plan to attend within your first 30 days of employment.

Annual UW-Madison Employee Benefits & Resource Fair

All campus employees are encouraged to attend this October event and learn about issues impacting employee benefits.


Pre-Retirement Information Seminars

This two-hour informational group session is open to any UW-Madison employee who would like to learn more about retirement benefits available through the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). This course is for all UW-Madison employees participating in the WRS.


Saving for the future is important! Learn about the benefits and basics of investing and the Tax-Sheltered 403(b) Program - your supplemental retirement savings plan. Find out how to save on taxes while saving for retirement. We'll discuss the basics of diversification, what to look for when you choose your investments and the materials you need to sign up. It is especially intended for the beginning investor or for those not currently enrolled, but those who have not ever attended a presentation may find it beneficial as well.

 Wisconsin Deferred Compensation
The WDC 457(b) is a voluntary supplemental retirement savings program for UW Madison employees. Having a WDC account may help provide a more comfortable and secure financial future. You can contribute pretax dollars or after tax (Roth) dollars to quality investment options, have access to local service representative, a local call center for support and on-line financial educational services and planning tools that can help you better prepare for retirement.
