Benefits 101

A must for new employees within the first 30 days of hire!  The focus of the seminar is to provide an understanding of your extensive benefits package and benefit enrollment deadlines.  It is also an excellent opportunity to discover resources and tools to guide you through the benefits maze.  This class will also address the Wisconsin Retirement System, Tax-Sheltered Annuities and Deferred Compensation.  Many benefits have 30 day enrollment deadlines so plan to attend within your first 30 days of employment.

All campus employees are encouraged to attend this October event and learn about issues impacting employee benefits.

 

Pre-Retirement Information Seminars

Can you afford to retire? Learn how to calculate your monthly annuity, your sick leave account and life insurance values. This seminar is recommended if you are 2-5 years from retirement. It can assist you in: Calculating your retirement benefit, choosing an annuity option, understanding how health Insurance works after retirement, sick leave accumulation calculation & value, understanding life insurance after retirement including continuation & conversion, and information on supplemental retirement income

 

Saving for the future is important! Learn about the benefits and basics of investing and the Tax-Sheltered 403(b) Program - your supplemental retirement savings plan. Find out how to save on taxes while saving for retirement. We'll discuss the basics of diversification, what to look for when you choose your investments and the materials you need to sign up. It is especially intended for the beginning investor or for those not currently enrolled, but those who have not ever attended a presentation may find it beneficial as well.
