Fully Prepared to Engage Certificate Program

Goal: To facilitate and otherwise catalyze the creation of a broad and deep staff capacity to convene participatory engagement processes on campus and in the community, fostering a great sense of inclusivity and legitimate participation in meaningful issues facing our institution and the State of Wisconsin. This capacity would reside in individuals, groups, departments, etc. and be meshed with an infrastructure that facilitates leadership in identifying key issues, resources to respond to those issues, and channels for cost-effective solutions to be developed. It is intended to be an important professional development opportunity for a variety of campus constituencies: for managers, faculty, and leaders at all levels seeking to express facilitative leadership, seeking skills in engaging the full campus community.  Click Here to learn more!

"Intro to Public Participation and Engagement" Course coming soon!

“Introduction to Public Participation & Engagement” provides an overview of some excellent strategies for getting people engaged and involved… in campus-wide or community initiatives, departmental change efforts, or meaningful dialogue within smaller groups about important issues. This course serves as the foundation requirement for OHRD’s new “Fully Prepared to Engage” (FP2E) Certificate Program, but it can also stand on its own as a useful way to consider the potential of engagement strategies for your work.  Click here for more information.
