“Excellence in Management & Supervision” Certificate Program (EMSCP) is intended to support the professional development pathways of experienced managers and supervisors who aspire to outstanding skills development and competency in their work as supervisors. EMSCP will create a vehicle by which such study can be framed, synthesized, and recognized within the University community, and serve as a model pathway through which others can follow in the future.
Components:
The EMSCP includes three main elements: (1) Core Course: “Excellence in Management & Supervision”; (2) Menu of elective classes… at least two days [12 hours] must be completed…; (3) Mid-Course "Touching Base" consultation with instructors and colleagues; (4) Synthesis session.
The course is taught by Don Schutt (Director, Office of Human Resource Development) and Darrell Bazzell (Vice-Chancellor for Administration), with assistance from Harry Webne-Behrman of OHRD, who coordinates the Certificate program.
